Our Partnership with Chevening

The Bseisu Foundation has partnered with Chevening, a UK Government funded organisation, to provide scholarships to students from the Levant

Since 1983, Chevening has supported over 50,000 young people and professionals through scholarships and fellowships. A world-renowned organisation funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Chevening aims at developing global leaders and is committed to supporting young people from all over the world in their pursuit of higher education in the UK. Chevening’s programmes have helped build positive relationships between the UK and more than 160 countries and territories.

“Through this partnership, more outstanding future leaders will be given the opportunity to access higher education and develop skills necessary to go on a make an impact in their communities.”

— Naomi Rayner, Head of the Scholarships Unit at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office

We are truly delighted to be working with Chevening this year, and are especially pleased to have partnered with them to provide continued support to deserving scholars from the Levant region.

As part of the Scholarships programme, Chevening supports outstanding individuals with the potential to be future leaders and enables them to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK. This year, our partnership will provide five fully funded STEM scholarships to young people from Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Our scholarships will give these individuals the opportunity to study abroad and will allow access to an international network of past and present scholars.

“Our foundation is focused on empowering young scholars, helping them to achieve their intellectual and professional potential. Against the odds and coming from disadvantaged communities, we feel it is our obligation to support such outstanding young women and men in their pursuit of knowledge at great institutions of learning.

“We have worked with Chevening on scholarships in the past and are pleased to team up again to provide an expanded five-scholarship programme focused on a turbulent and needy part of the world.”

— Mr Amjad Bseisu, Co-Founder of the Bseisu Foundation

Now more than ever, this kind of assistance is desperately needed, and we thank Chevening for their unwavering commitment to supporting young people. We are so excited to see where this journey takes our scholars!
