We support equal opportunities for all.

The Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation begun as a grant providing organisation, focusing on supporting education initiatives, young people, women and refugee empowerment, and aiding development within the Middle East.

Since then, we have continued to collaborate with other organisations with the aim of maximising our impact across the board in pursuit of our mission and values. We continue to work towards education and empowerment of disadvantaged communities within the Arab world.

Our work with Alfanar

Alfanar is the Arab region’s oldest venture philanthropy organisation and works within Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and refugee communities. Alfanar supports and invests in ambitious social enterprises in order to help them become self sufficient and reach financial sustainability, looking to break the cycle of donor dependancy.

Their work has funded 74 social enterprises and has impacted the lives of over 273,525 individuals. Alfanar invests in ambitious organisations and leaders who improve the lives of people living in poverty in the Arab world, particularly those working to improve children’s education and to economically empower women, youth and refugees.

Our work with Caabu

We are proud to support the Council for Arab-British Understanding and their exciting education programme.

Caabu is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to educate and encourage people to think critically about the Arab world through informed debate and understanding.

The Education Programme does this through delivering talks and workshops free of charge to schools throughout Britain. These workshops deliver an informed perspective of several topics, questions and debates to young people across the country. Our Scholarships Officer, Felicity delivers the Caabu education programme. Our support of Chatham House

Also known as The Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House is an independent policy institute, or International Affairs Think Tank, in London with a mission to help governments and societies build a sustainably secure, prosperous and just world. The Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation has supported core activities at Chatham House, helping to ensure its independence, one of which being the project Israel-Palestine: Beyond the Stalemate.

Beyond the Stalemate created a platform for constructive dialogue among Israelis, Palestinians and other stakeholders, to improve Israeli-Palestinian relations. The project examined past lessons and future possibilities, and as part of the process, consulted leading thinkers and practitioners on the conflict.

Our work with IMET2000

Since it was established in 2000, IMET2000 has been working to address the immense need for upgrading healthcaere in Palestine. IMET200 also works across Africa, Asia and Ukraine to promote inexpensive, continuous and accessible healthcare, as well as the education and training for all professionals working in the global health sector.

We have supported IMET2000’s activities supporting the underprivileged in Palestine and Gaza over the years with the shared vision of improving services to all those suffering from trauma and especially supporting children in areas of conflict.

Most recently, we have supported IMET2000 through the Covid-19 efforts in the West Bank and Gaza. IMET2000 took on a leading role in raising funds for hospitals, beds, ventilators, PPE and training. They also work with highly skilled engineering institutions and labs, such as UCL Hospital in London, to help with these efforts and save lives within Palestine.

Our work with Al Muntaha Tutoring

The Bseisu Foundation continues its efforts to empower young people through educational experiences.

We are a proud supporter of our sister organisation; Al Muntaha Tutoring, a programme designed to tutor Arab children looking to improve their English language skills. Al Muntaha does this by enlisting high school and university students as well as teachers from around the world to volunteer for the role.

Al Muntaha offers free weekly one-to-one video call lessons in English to Palestinian, Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian, Yemeni, Iraqi, and Egyptian children ages 6-17. Through their programme, they are committed to educating at least as many girls as boys.

Our support of Seenaryo

The Amjad and Suha Bseisu Foundation is continuing to support the education and empowerment of disadvantaged children and young people.

Working in Lebanon and Jordan, Seenaryo is a leading regional specialist in participatory education and performing arts interventions with marginalised communities. Seenaryo’s mission is to provide all people in the Arab region with the tools to think critically, collaborate, and become resilient as individuals and in their communities.

Founded in 2015, Seenaryo’s focus is on working with refugees and host communities through participatory theatre and choirs, arts leadership training, and play-based training and resources for teachers.

Our support of Syria Relief

Over the last 10 years, Syria Relief has provided aid to 10.3million to people in need. It is the largest Syria focused Uk-based charity and was founded in Manchester at the beginning of the Syrian conflict in 2011. Dismayed at the rapidly unfolding crisis in Syria, a group of friends of Syrian heritage came together to make a concerted effort to provide emergency humanitarian aid in the region, for what they initially assumed would be a short-term project.

Their focus is providing food, water, shelter and medical programmes in Syria and neighbouring countries, as well as investing in education and livelihood programmes to support the future of Syria. As an organisation which prioritises investment and empowerment through education in the Levant region, Syria Relief’s mission is naturally close to our heart.

Our work with the U.S/Middle East Project

The U.S./Middle East Project was established in 1994 by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) under the direction of Henry Siegman, a senior fellow on the Middle East at the Council. In 2006, the U.S./Middle East Project became an independent policy institute. Its mission is to provide non partisan analysis of the Middle East peace process and to present policymakers in the United States, in the region and in the larger international community with balanced policy analysis and policy options to prevent conflict and promote stability, democracy and economic development throughout the region.

The Amjad & Suha Bseisu Foundation supports the U.S/Middle East Project’s (USMEP) daily operations with Amjad Bseisu sitting on the USMEP Board. The USMEP stands for advancing a dignified Israeli-Palestinian peace, an end to occupation and mutual security for both peoples.

It presents policymakers in the United States, MENA and the broader international community with analysis and policy options to promote de-escalation and prevent and resolve conflicts in the region. As a foundation which focuses on education and empowerment in and across the Arab region, with personal ties and connections to Palestine, the work carried out by the USMEP embodies our values and mission.

Our support of The Wren Project

The Bseisu Foundation is proud to support The Wren Project, a UK charity that works to empower individuals diagnosed with autoimmune disease. Founded by our former Education and Scholarships Officer, Kate, the Project works to bring positive change and a supportive community to people whose health conditions leave them at the margins of mainstream life.

The Wren Project will provide targeted and individualised support with the aim of encouraging inclusion, integration, and independence. Having been created with insight from personal experience as well as the expertise of many professionals , The Wren Project has the potential to vast impact the lives of many.

Recently, we have supported their new programme The Wren University Project, which will work with 50 university students a year that have been recently diagnosed with autoimmune disease from University of Cambridge, University of Manchester and SOAS. They will offer free 1:1 holisitic and multi-layered support for the students by pairing them with highly trained volunteers.
