We support scholars, they impact the world.

The Bseisu Foundation offers a variety of scholarships and funding opportunities across the UK, US, Middle East and Malaysia. We work with a variety of partners to deliver our funding opportunities, and each scholarship.

We support students to reach their academic potential in various STEM and STEM-related fields regardless of their financial background. We particularly focus on providing support to women and those from refugee backgrounds.

We think that STEM scholarships, and this sector’s potential for building and rebuilding the future of countries like Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Jordan is hugely important. We support the talented new generation from these countries to study at top global universities.

We have supported 78 scholars since 2015.

We are incredibly grateful for the 78 scholars we have supported since the start of our scholarships programme in 2015. The majority of our scholars are of Palestinian origin, something we are immensely proud of. Each academic year, The Bseisu Foundation has supported a larger cohort of students and we cannot wait to see what the future will bring.

Our Scholars attend top universities and are set on the path for world-changing careers.

Our scholars have studied at many world renowned institutions across the UK, USA, Malaysia, the Middle East and Europe. Many of our scholars are breaking new boundaries: The only sonographer in Jordan is a Bseisu Scholar, as is the first Palestinian woman to become an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon - just to name a few. Check out our scholars’ stories to find out more: each and every one has their own impressive achievements.

We are committed to increasing women’s participation in STEM.

We provide support to young people, both men and women, who wish to access higher education and study abroad opportunities. However, we do focus on increasing female STEM participation and in 2022-2023, 63% of our scholars are women. We also have a majority of women overall, at 59%, so we are very pleased to continue to include many outstanding women within our growing network of scholars.
