“My dream is to become a pilot, and I already passed my foundation course. I still need to do the practical training to gain my Private Pilot License.”

Meet Youssef…

Youssef was born in Lebanon and grew up in Baalbek area, he graduated with a BEng Aircraft Engineering with Pilot Studies from the University of Salford, Manchester.

This provided him with a robust understanding of technical principles such as aerodynamics, engineering dynamics and structures and more, which led to the rise of a lot of questions such as: how companies manage to build aircrafts within a limited time frame, what problems they face, and how do they sort it? He began looking for a course that could help him answer those questions, and give him a bigger picture about what occurs in the industry and being a part of it.

Industrial Systems Manufacturing and Management (ISMM) is not only taught modules, but also hands on experience. The program includes industrial visits and projects within companies, which enable him to use what is learned in class in real companies. He wants to tackle all the problems that faces the aerospace industry.

The University of Cambridge is one of the world's leading universities, with an extraordinary history spanning for hundreds of years. It's globally renowned as one of the world’s best universities holding a strong ranking position. It delivers the best Industrial systems, Manufacturing and Management course in the world. After studies Youssef will either carry on doing a PhD or work in a consultancy firm, advising organisations and solve their problems. His focus will be on the aerospace industry.
