Meet Yaqeen…
Yaqeen was born and raised in Jenin, Palestine, where she developed a strong interest in human health and wellbeing.
This passion led her to pursue a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy at An-Najah National University, from which she graduated with the highest honours in 2021.
During her undergraduate studies, Yaqeen was actively involved in numerous voluntary and extracurricular activities related to public health, further deepening her curiosity about the human body. Eager to expand her knowledge of human physiology, Yaqeen is currently studying a master’s degree in Human and Applied Physiology at King's College London, a highly esteemed research institution. Through her postgraduate study, Yaqeen aims to enrich her understanding of the physiological mechanisms underlying health and disease, thus enhancing her knowledge of the possible targeting sites of medications.
Yaqeen selected King's College London for its outstanding academic and research reputation and unique teaching methodology. Additionally, the opportunity to live in London for a year provides valuable exposure to diverse cultures and historical sites, which Yaqeen enjoys exploring during her leisure time.
Upon returning to Palestine, Yaqeen aspires to work as a university lecturer in Human Physiology, driven by her passion for imparting knowledge and inspiring future generations. She is committed to continuously enhancing her expertise in this field to enable innovative contributions to education and research.
