Sandy was born and raised in Lebanon. She is studying for a masters in Global Health which will allow her to combine her medical background as well as her work experience, to pursue a career in Health Systems strengthening refugee health.  

Aside from Duke being a very reputable institution, what attracted Sandy to the MSc Global Health programme, was the curriculum itself. It is multidisciplinary, which will allow her to build the necessary knowledge and skills needed to excel in the field while exploring different topics and areas to help shape the next steps in her career.
