Rami was born and raised in Kuwait, where his educational and personal growth was nurtured. However, Rami’s roots are deeply planted in Syria and he considers it his home, with its rich heritage and enduring spirit shaping his identity.
Rami is pursuing a MSc in Geo-Energy with Machine Learning and Data Science at Imperial College London. Rami’s passion for energy solutions and data-driven analysis is the driving force behind his choice. Imperial is known for excellence in these fields, and he is eager to harness this comprehensive training to address global challenges, such as energy inequality and climate change. Through his studies, Rami also aims to inspire others, by demonstrating that perseverance can turn dreams into reality, regardless of one's starting point.
Rami’s academic journey in petroleum engineering began with a BSc followed by an MSc at Kuwait University. His commitment to continuous learning led him to supplement his formal education with online courses in data science and machine learning, equipping him to play a part in tackling global warming by merging geo-energy expertise with advanced analytical techniques.
As an active member of the academic community, Rami serves as the Vice President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers at the Imperial College London chapter and am the class representative for the Geo-Energy with Machine Learning and Data Science programme (GEMS). These roles allow him to engage with peers, foster professional networks, and advocate for the interests and education of his classmates.
