"Being in Cambridge is an extraordinary experience. The halls, chairs, and streets here have hosted some of the greatest intellectual minds in history, taking Newton's concept of 'standing on the shoulders of giants' to new heights. This environment is both inspiring and demanding. As my department's motto suggests, I am committed to driving change, and I am driven by excellence."
Meet Nathalie…
Nathalie is Lebanese, and she grew up and studied in Lebanon before moving to Cambridge to pursue her postgraduate education.
Nathalie received her Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering degree from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in 2023 and she is currently working toward an MPhil degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering (MPhil ACE) at the University of Cambridge.
Throughout her undergraduate studies, Nathalie pursued many projects spanning the resource security continuum, with a specific focus on the interconnected challenges within the water-food- energy nexus. Her decision to pursue the ACE course at Cambridge was influenced by its balanced taught/research structure which allows her to get exposure to various advanced fields of science and engineering, while pursuing a specialised project aligned with her interests.
Nathalie’s current research focuses on exploring various aspects of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for drug delivery applications. Breakthroughs in this field will play a crucial role in shaping the future of drug delivery systems.
After completing her MPhil, Nathalie wants to pursue a career in research whether within industry or academia.
