Monawar was born and raised in Nablus, Palestine.

She holds a BSc in Medical Imaging from An Najah National University in Nablus and is currently studying MSc Healthcare Technologies at King’s College London, with a focus on Medical Imaging Chemistry.

One of the main reasons Monawar was attracted to this course was because of its variety of module choices which offer a wide range of experiences. She specifically chose imaging chemistry because she has a personal interest in chemistry and how it plays a significant role in nuclear medicine and diagnosis of several diseases, especially cancer. She is especially enjoying all the advanced lab work related to chemistry and biology on her course this year.

Monawar was interested in studying at King’s because it has one of the largest radiopharmaceutical production labs in the UK which will guarantee her a hands-on experience in radio-pharmaceutics production. Monawar is getting used to the busy timetable of her masters. In the future, Monawar hopes to obtain a PhD in the same field and continue her journey in learning.
