Karim was born in Tartous, Syria, and his early years were split between Tartous and Beirut, Lebanon.

He is currently pursuing a MSc in Finance at Imperial College London. His academic journey began at the American University of Beirut (AUB) where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and a minor in international law.

Karim’s previous studies and experiences further boosted his interest in finance, driving him to explore the field in greater depth. He’s always been drawn to the dynamic world of finance and is eager to take his knowledge and skills to the next level. Karim’s passion for finance is mainly in the world of derivatives and the capital markets.

Beyond academics, Karim is actively involved in extracurricular activities. Currently, he holds the positions of student ambassador and SSC social leader at Imperial College London, where he has had the opportunity to connect with peers and contribute to the university community.

As a Student Ambassador and Social Leader at Imperial College London, Karim serves as a representative for Imperial, actively engaging with prospective students, organising campus events, and fostering an inclusive campus atmosphere. He also organises events for the Finance suite which helps to enhance the overall student experience.

Looking ahead, Karim aspires to enter the world of Capital Markets or Sales & Trading in the financial sector. These areas fascinate him because of their fast-paced nature and the critical role they play in the global economy. His goal is to leverage the knowledge and experience gained during his masters in London to make a meaningful impact in these fields.
