Meet Jude…
Jude is driven by a passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to contributing to the development of my home country and the broader Middle East.
Born and raised in Amman, Jordan, she later moved to Germany to complete my bachelor's in Industrial Engineering and Management. At the University of Cambridge, she is exploring the intersection of engineering and management—a combination that is crucial for driving economic growth and transformation in developing regions.
She is particularly interested in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. She explored this in her undergraduate research and found that they promote sustainable industry practices, ensure financial gains, and positively impact community well-being. Her professional journey has aligned with her aspiration to understand the importance of sustainability across different organisations and sectors. She began exploring this topic from a financial perspective at Baader Bank AG and later analysed how companies are transforming their business models by integrating sustainability into their core strategies at IMCD (a chemical distribution company) and LichtBlick (a utilities provider).
Beyond academics and work, she is actively engaged in the vibrant Cambridge community. She is a member of the Newnham College Badminton Team, which keeps her active, and is involved in the German Cambridge Society, where she continues to refine her language skills and cultural understanding.
