Baylasan was born and raised in Cana of Galilee, but is currently living in Tel Aviv pursuing her undergraduate degree in biology, and engaging in mindfulness meditation practices.

Biology has been always a major interest for Baylasan, whether it was evolution and genetics or the complex human body and how it functions. The human body has never failed to fascinate her and she loves carrying out research in intriguing laboratories, working in groups and conducting various experiments.

Originally worried about the high costs of studying in Tel Aviv, Baylasan was hesitant to apply but grew fond of the vibrant atmosphere and prestigious status of the university. Baylasan now hopes to extend her stay at the university and to achieve her goal of getting into med school through a postgraduate programme to seek a medical career.

Baylasan is following one of her family’s most important values and says that education is the cornerstone for a better future for herself, for her society, and for humanity as a whole.
