Meet Rahaf…

Rahaf was born in Amman, Jordan and is originally Palestinian. She moved to Bahrain and was raised there. Rahaf often travels to her home country Palestine since most of her mother’s family are there. Her father is also originally Palestine, and her grandparents are refugees.

Rahaf attended school in Bahrain for 12 years and learnt how to be responsible from childhood. Growing up, she was an independent, responsible student who focused on her studies. During her high school years, Rahaf was an active member in the society. She participated in several programs that helped her develop different lifelong skills. Rahaf gained vast leadership experience throughout her participation in different programs such as Model United Nation conferences in Bahrain.  She joined students from different schools and discussed issues that the world is facing today. During her senior year, she was chosen to be the Deputy Secretary General for the MUN that took place in her school. Rahaf also wrote an article that was chosen to be published by The International Educator ( TIE ).

Rahaf is really interested in sports and was a member of the Bahrain National team in athletics sports. She also plays basketball and has participated in tournaments.

Studying Medicine has always been a dream for Rahaf. Rahaf says that studying medicine and becoming a doctor is a job filled with mercy. She chose to study medicine because it is a humanitarian profession where you get to help people. Her passion and aptitude for science subjects also led her towards Medicine, and she scored an 800 in her Maths SAT test. Rahaf also ranked first in her school among the students of her batch, scoring an overall of 99.8%.

Rahaf has also joined many different workshops and internships that have to do with medicine. Making a long-lasting positive impact on society was her source of happiness, so she has become an active part of society by taking part in different community services.
