Our work with Caabu

The Bseisu Foundation works on the basis that lasting impact can be achieved through education and opportunity. This is why we are thrilled to be partnered with Caabu (the Council for British-Arab Understanding) - a non-profit organisation that runs education programmes to promote peace, understanding and bridge the knowledge gap between Britain and the Arab world.

Founded in 1967, Caabu has played a huge part in engaging individuals, changing minds, and challenging perceptions about the Arab world in Britain. Caabu’s education workshops and talks inspire active engagement and discussion, with students encouraged to form their own opinions and think critically about issues that we are confronted with daily in the media. Caabu’s work is particularly important as they address subjects seldom covered by the British curriculum.

The Bseisu Foundation’s Education Officer splits their time between working with Caabu in British schools to create greater understanding and cohesion between cultures, and working at the foundation to empower Arab students who wish to study abroad in the UK and US. As a result, the collaboration between the Caabu and the Bseisu Foundation has been, and continues to be especially fruitful and profoundly valuable to all those involved.

The belief that education is central in creating the most enduring positive impact drives both Caabu and the Bseisu Foundation. We are so proud to continue our work with such an important and historic organisation and we are excited to see where this partnership leads us all.
