“After finishing my MPhil, I am interested in pursuing a PhD with the goal of working in the reproductive health or maternal health fields in the Middle East.”

Meet Yasmina…

Yasmina, originally from a small Lebanese village in the Chouf, grew up in Beirut.

She has lived in Philadelphia for the past 5 years where she pursued her undergraduate studies in Bioengineering and Psychology.

During the past couple of years, she has been very involved in mental health and sexual violence prevention communities on her undergraduate campus. She has also pursued robotic projects, done research on cancer prevention in Lebanon and worked with the Sexual and Reproductive Health Team at UNFPA in NYC. All these experiences have contributed to her interest in public health which led her to Cambridge where she is pursuing an MPhil in Population Health Sciences with a focus on Health Data Science.  She is really looking forward to exploring a new city, meeting new people and learning alongside her classmates.

After finishing her MPhil, she is interested in pursuing a PhD with the goal of working in the reproductive health or maternal health fields in the Middle East.

In her free time, she enjoys playing chess (although she is still very much a beginner), cooking Mediterranean dishes, playing with her two younger sisters and training dogs!
