“Diversity plays an important role in developing someone’s personality and making them open-minded.”

Meet Rashed…

Rashed was born in the west-camp of Khanyounis in Gaza and spent his childhood in the camp until his family moved to live in the city of Khanuoinis.

Rashed comes from a large family of seven people and attended governmental schools growing up, managing to achieve a perfect GPA of 99.9% for every year at high school. His general hobbies include practicing English and watching YouTube videos related to computer science.

Rashed is due to begin studying Computer Science at Bridgewater College in September 2019. Rashed was inspired by his father who works as an IT and Computer Science supervisor for the Ministry of Education and that inspiration has grown with him. Rashed is interested in the computer’s problem saving capabilities and our dependence on computers in every aspect of our lives. In going to university and studying Computer Science, Rashed hopes to one day live his dream of opening his own tech company.

Rashed describes his reasons for choosing Bridgewater College as being grounded in diversity. “Diversity plays an important role in developing someone’s personality and making them open-minded.” Rashed also says that the university will provide him with the best atmosphere for him specifically to learn in, giving him the opportunity to interact with people from different cultures and providing him with professors who work hard to offer the best learning experience. Rashed cannot wait to be a part of the community of such a prestigious college.
