Meet Nourhan…

Nourhan is from Beirut, Lebanon. She received her BSc degree in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and minored in Data Science and Computational Science.

When Nourhan turned 17, she started making her own money by tutoring students High and Standard level IB Mathematics and Physics, as well as SAT English and Mathematics. Nourhan’s students ranged from 13 to 17 and she continued to tutor throughout her senior year of high school, up until the second year of university. Nourhan also volunteered for 2 summers in a row (2018-2019) in the AMIDEAST office in Beirut as a Mathematics and English SAT Tutor for students applying for colleges abroad.

While studying at AUB, she started working with Reunion Tech Canada as a graphics developer. During her senior year, Nourhan also worked on a computational engineering project with the Physics department. This project kickstarted Nourhan’s interest in the field of Computation Science which is why she decided to pursue her master's degree in Applied Computational Science and Engineering at Imperial College London.

Nourhan is very excited to have this scholarship opportunity and to be able to study at ICL, a leading university in technology and research.
