“This degree will enable me to gain applied experiences in order to meet economic challenges and improve the livelihood of lower-income communities.”

Meet Dina…

Dina was born in Bethlehem, Palestine and graduated at the top of her class from the American University of Madaba - Jordan with a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management.

After completing her studies, she went back to Palestine to start her career as a Research Associate at Invest Palestine, a consulting and private equity firm, that seeks to empower Palestinians by promoting job creation and local production, leading to a more sustainable economy.

Throughout her professional experience, she was exposed to multiple issues at the forefront of the financial industry that ensured multidisciplinary learning across various industries. During that time, she has also volunteered for the “Alternatives to Violence” project that provided support for women victims of domestic violence. Both these experiences helped her envision her long-term career goal, which is inspiring and leading young women in the financial sector, and especially in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The reason behind her decision to pursue a Masters degree in Economics & Strategy for Business, at Imperial College Business School, stems from her realisation that analytical techniques are becoming more widespread and digitised, therefore future leaders should be able to demonstrate both exemplary decision-making and data analytical skills. This degree will enable her to gain applied experiences in prescribing new approaches for meeting economic challenges and improving the livelihood of lower-income communities. Alongside her classes, she joined the Social Impact & Responsible Business Club and the Live Music Club, where she practises playing the drums in her free time.
