“I believe that graduates from the Middle East have enough potential and determination to be the agents of change in their region and in the world.”

Meet Christina…

Christina grew up in Beirut, Lebanon and graduated with distinction from the American University of Beirut (AUB) with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration specialising in Finance.

She was constantly placed on the Dean’s Honour List of the business school as well as being a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Society, the International Business Honour Society. One academic referee, Dr. Daou commented that Christina is “very serious, engaged, thoughtful and studious. She showed leadership in group work and was supportive to her classmates.”

During her undergraduate degree, Christina completed two different internships to put theory into practice and be challenged out of an academic context. She interned at Impact BBDO as an Account Management Intern as well as at Bank of Beirut in the Risk Management department. Her long-term career goal is to make “consulting services more accessible to start-ups in the MENA region” and create an accelerator into employment for graduates in Lebanon.

Christina’s decision to pursue a higher degree is rooted in her determination to gain more specific and practical knowledge, be in a pool of other high achieving students as well as benefit from the diversity of their backgrounds. Among the reasons she chose to study at Imperial College London, she emphasises that being in the centre of a cosmopolitan city like London makes you learn “outside as much as inside of school.” Studying the MSc Management at Imperial, Christina describes university as “hectic in the most amazing way” as she juggles classes and extracurriculars. Alongside her degree, she is learning Spanish as a 4th language and is a student ambassador at the Business School.
