Meet Ahmad…

Ahmad is a Palestinian from Ramallah who studied MSc Robotics at the University of Bristol as a Bseisu-Chevening scholar.

Ahmad graduated as a Computer Engineer from Birzeit University, Palestine in 2017 with a distinction. His research interest is mainly in machine learning, signal processing, machine vision and robotics applications processing. He did his Bachelor graduation project in Arabic dialects identification from both spoken and Arabic transcript.

During his last year as a student (2016-2017), he worked at Exalt technologies as a back-end developer. He then decided to go down the education route by working as a teaching and research assistant for the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Birzeit University from 2017 to 2020. He was also working in the EU capacity building project via technical and development roles (FESTEM) with a project for integrating entrepreneurship in education.

One of his hobbies includes making educational videos especially for computer science and engineering fields. He made three MOOCs courses in C programming, Introduction to Matlab and Physics. One of them was via the METHODS EU funded project. Ahmad also produced a Udemy course on "Flowcode" having more than 2000 enrolled students. On YouTube, he has an educational channel with more than 6,400 watching hours for all published videos. He hopes that higher education will help him to move forward in the research and education fields in Palestinian universities and the industrial sector.
